Terms and Conditions

  • All prices quoted are in New Zealand dollars and include GST (Goods and Services Tax).
  • Tasting fees may apply and are additional to our tour cost.
  • We accept cash, eftpos, visa or mastercard.
  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear for cycling.  Covered footwear is ideal.  Bring a jacket or layer of clothing for those cooler days.  Bring your togs and towel for those warmer days (the river is safe for swimming and not too far from our base).  Bring sunscreen!
  • We don't charge for cancellation due to bad weather, providing adequate notice is given (at least an hour prior to your booking).
  • The road rules still apply when drinking alcohol and riding a bike!  We take no responsibility for any damage occurred to yourself, the bike/s and equipment whilst on tour.
  • All bikes and equipment must be returned in the same condition as at the commencement of hire.  Any loss or damage will result in relevant payment to replace/repair by the hirer.
  • All bike hirer's will have to sign a hire agreement prior to departure, stating responsibility.
  • It is a legal requirement to wear a helmet in New Zealand whilst riding on the roads.  All bike hire includes a helmet and lock.
  • Hen/stag parties: please be aware that not all wineries welcome your fancy dress.  I would advise to not wear fancy dress whilst on tour, otherwise you may not be permitted to visit certain wineries which is out of our control.
  • Please do not consume alcohol prior to starting a tour with us.
  • Taradale has a permanent alcohol ban throughout the year.  Please do not turn up on tour carrying alcohol to drink whilst riding a bike.  Bike D'Vine takes no responsibility and reserves the right to refuse your booking.
  • We expect all hirer's to act responsibly whilst on tour and not over-consume alcohol.
  • Any overnight bike hirer's must keep bike/s and equipment in a lockup shed/garage/house.  A credit card imprint is taken by way of bond and returned at completion of hire period providing bike/s and equipment are returned in the same condition.
  • BYO food is welcome on our tours!  Some wineries are happy for you to bring your own food to eat whilst enjoying your wine tasting (ask us which wineries are ok with this).  There are local parks and other areas to rest and enjoy your food!
  • We recommend you take out travel insurance if visiting from overseas.  This will cover you for any damage/loss to bike/equipment and accidents to yourself!
  • Minimum age for drinking alcohol in New Zealand is 18 years old.
  • We consider any bookings made as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
